My highest weight was 305 pounds. I was unhealthy, unfit and looked it. For 10 years I struggled with obesity until I finally reached the point where I knew something had to change. I had tried over and over to get started losing weight, but something always seemed to get in the way.
Finally, after becoming frightened I could end up housebound, severely ill or dead, I got serious about my weight and lost 150 pounds. I didn’t join a group, use any supplements, eat weird foods or have surgery. I’ve maintained the loss for twelve years, through four more pregnancies.

A 10-minute walking stress test can give important information about health risks to those middle aged and older. The test measures cardiorespiratory fitness, or how well the lungs, heart, and blood vessels work together.
Preventative medicine expert Dr Timothy Church, recently told CNN, “Fitness is just simply as powerful a risk factor as there is.” I think that’s a pretty bold statement, and one we would do well to pay attention to.

Look at that ridiculous thing! It’s called the BeltzBib, and for just $13.95 you get a bib that attaches to your seatbelt, letting you gorge on nachos without risk of dribbling melted cheese on your big fat shirt while driving your big fat SUV.

We all love to snack. It is one of those pleasures in life that would be really hard to give up. dieters need to give up a certain amount of calories per day. How can snacking help them?
“Mindless Eating” by Dr. Brian Wansink documents how we eat without thinking about it. Basically, if there is food in front of us, it takes a incredibly strong will not to eat it. And you can use this fact of human behavior to help you eat healthily. Just make sure that the healthy thing is the food in front of you instead of the potato chips.
