Ahhh!!!I gained 2 lbs. No!! Why me? Why me? LMAO. I’m kidding, it’s not that serious. I did gain two lbs but it’s most likely water weight since I was a little constipated over the weekend. That’s right. I said it… I was constipated! While the scale read 2 lbs heavier than last week, my mind knows that I am right on track so it didn’t devastate me like I thought it would.
Here is the weight loss chart:

A lot of people believe you can sweat your extra pounds away. They hop onto the elliptical for fifteen minutes dressed in clothes more appropriate for a run outside in Alaska in the middle of January. The belief is that the amount of sweat excreted correlates to the amount of weight shed. This statement is not completely false. According to Stew Smith, a former Navy SEAL and guest author for Maxim Fitness, it is possible to sweat away extra pounds. However, this weight is all water weight. The second you drink something after your workout, the weight is back on. This type of weight loss is a quick fix and not healthy.

This is a question I have pondered for some time now. We all have different body types and some individuals are naturally more muscular while others are predisposed to be more rotund. So this fact got me thinking what if some of us are descendants of a cave man clan of fatties? Is the huskier portion of the world’s population actually an evolved version of an original group of fat prehistoric peoples? Perhaps this type of early human held on to extra body fat to preserve their own lives in times of food supply shortage.

This Christmas Season has been flying by. I finally got my last two packages in the mail today. I gave a sigh of relief as I walked out the door at the post office. Next year I think I’m going to give gift cards, postage has gotten so high.
I’ve didn’t bake any Christmas cookies this year. This preventive me from going to the cookie exchange held at the hospital every year. I also did not attend the holiday brunch the senior center put on yesterday.

Drinking cold water, some researchers say, can help you burn a few extra calories. The science behind it is fairly straightforward; because the temperature of the water is far colder than that of your body, you burn a few calories warming it up. As you can tell, I’m not all that impressed.
